Taqa Secures $1.75 Billion in Dual-Tranche Bond Issuance

Mon, Oct 26, 2026(1h ago)Business

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) has successfully priced a $1.75 billion dual-tranche bond offering, drawing significant interest from global and regional investors. The issuance includes $1.1 billion in green notes maturing in 2032 with a 5.875% coupon, alongside $650 million in conventional notes due in 2036 at a 6.125% rate. The high demand, which saw the orderbook oversubscribed by three times, highlights strong market confidence in Taqa’s credit quality and its strategic vision as it prepares to list the notes on the London Stock Exchange.

The proceeds from the green tranche are earmarked for renewable energy and sustainable grid infrastructure projects, aligning with the company’s broader goal of supporting the energy transition. Meanwhile, the conventional portion will support general corporate activities. Taqa’s leadership noted that this successful raise, led by a consortium of major international banks, reinforces the company's ability to maintain competitive funding as it continues to invest heavily in resilient power networks and sustainable water solutions as part of its 2030 growth strategy.
