Ta’ziz Secures $1.39 Billion for Major Ruwais Industrial Projects
Abu Dhabi’s Ta’ziz has successfully closed $1.39 billion in financing for two vital industrial ventures in Ruwais, marking a significant step forward for its expanding chemical ecosystem. The funding package includes over $928 million allocated for the Ta’ziz Terminal—a logistics hub being developed alongside Advario Star Energy—and more than $460 million dedicated to the Ta’ziz Ammonia facility, a major joint venture with Fertiglobe, Mitsui & Co., and GS Energy. Both financing rounds were heavily oversubscribed, signaling strong appetite from global lenders following the company's previous $2 billion capital raise for its methanol project earlier this year.
Construction is moving ahead rapidly, with the ammonia facility’s engineering and procurement phase now over 90 percent complete, while the terminal project has reached the 70 percent completion mark. By securing a total of $3.39 billion across these three initiatives, Ta’ziz is effectively cementing its role in Abu Dhabi’s long-term industrial strategy. According to CEO Mashal Saoud Al-Kindi, this influx of capital not only validates the trust investors have in the UAE’s industrial vision but also provides the necessary momentum to complete these projects, which are set to become critical pillars for local manufacturing and international chemical exports.
