Dubai Gold Prices Surge as Market Sentiment Shifts
Gold prices in Dubai saw a noticeable uptick this Thursday morning, climbing by Dh4 as global market conditions shifted in favor of the precious metal. The 24K variant opened at Dh503.75 per gram, marking a recovery from the previous day’s closing price of Dh499.75. Other categories followed suit, with 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K variants all trading higher as global spot gold prices rose by 0.6 percent. This rebound was bolstered by a slight dip in oil prices and growing investor optimism regarding the path of US interest rates.
Industry experts, including Vijay Valecha of Century Financial, attribute the movement to gold bouncing back from critical technical support levels. While the immediate outlook is positive, analysts warn that challenges remain, particularly with rising US Treasury yields and lingering inflationary pressures. Investors are currently recalibrating their expectations for future rate hikes, following hints from Federal Reserve officials that further adjustments may be limited. Looking ahead, market participants are keeping a close watch on upcoming US economic data, which will likely determine if gold can maintain its momentum or if it will face further volatility in the near term.
