GCC and Arab Parliament Denounce Misleading Media Campaigns Against UAE and Qatar
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab Parliament have issued firm rebukes against recent waves of biased media reports targeting the UAE and Qatar. Officials from both organizations warned that these unsubstantiated allegations are designed to destabilize the region and undermine the proactive diplomatic efforts these nations have championed on the global stage. GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi emphasized that the UAE and Qatar have consistently served as pillars of stability, actively working to bridge political divides and foster international cooperation rather than inciting conflict.
Supporting this stance, Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi condemned the lack of objectivity in these reports, labeling them as dangerous attempts to spread misinformation. He highlighted that at a time when regional solidarity is essential to overcoming current crises, such narratives only serve to sow confusion and division. Both bodies reaffirmed their unwavering support for the UAE and Qatar, calling for media integrity and stressing that respect for state sovereignty remains a fundamental requirement for maintaining long-term security and prosperity across the Arab world.
