Dubai Number Plate Auction Nets Dh65.7 Million

Tue, Oct 27, 2026(56m ago)UAE

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai recently concluded its 121st open auction for exclusive vehicle number plates, bringing in a massive total of Dh65.721 million. Held at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City, the event showcased 60 unique plates featuring various two- to five-digit combinations across ten different codes. The star of the show was the CC44 plate, which commanded the highest bid of the day at Dh6.72 million, closely followed by BB18 at Dh6.62 million and BB80 at Dh5.9 million.

This consistent success highlights the RTA's commitment to a transparent and neutral auction process, which remains highly popular among residents looking to secure personalized plates. By offering a wide variety of codes including AA, Z, and Y, the authority ensures that all participants have a fair opportunity to acquire these sought-after symbols of personal prestige. As these numbers continue to hold significant individual value, the RTA plans to keep utilizing these strategic auctions to meet the high demand from collectors and motorists across the emirate.
