UAE Braces for Sweltering 42ºC Heat Today

Mon, Jun 22, 2026(2h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted generally fair conditions across the UAE for Monday, June 22, though residents can expect some cloud cover to develop over eastern regions. As the day progresses, humidity levels are set to rise overnight and into Tuesday morning, particularly in coastal and internal western zones, where there is a notable possibility of mist or fog forming. Winds will remain light to moderate throughout the day.

Temperatures are expected to climb significantly, with major urban hubs hitting peak heat. Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi are bracing for highs of 42ºC, while Sharjah is predicted to reach 40ºC. Nighttime temperatures will offer little respite, settling around the 29ºC to 30ºC range. Meanwhile, maritime conditions remain stable, with slight sea states anticipated in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
