UAE Welcomes Cooler November Days With Forecasted Fog and Rain
November marks the long-awaited shift in the UAE as residents swap sweltering summer heat for more comfortable, pleasant weather. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), temperatures are expected to dip by 4 to 6 degrees compared to October, thanks to the sun’s southward movement and the gradual influence of the Siberian high-pressure system. While daytime remains mild, the evenings will turn significantly cooler, particularly in mountainous and interior regions. Along with the temperature drop, the humidity is set to rise, creating a higher probability of mist and fog during the early morning hours, especially across coastal areas.
Beyond the pleasant climate shift, meteorologists are also tracking the potential for cloud formations and occasional rainfall as cold air masses interact with the region. This year’s outlook is further influenced by the ongoing El Niño phenomenon, which experts from the Emirates Astronomy Society suggest could lead to a winter that is both warmer and wetter than average. While residents can look forward to more outdoor-friendly conditions, the climate forecast indicates that rainfall could exceed typical levels throughout the season. With mean temperatures hovering between 19ºC and 32ºC, the UAE is settling into a transition period that balances refreshing breezes with the unique atmospheric changes characteristic of the Gulf's winter season.
