UAE residents brace for intense summer heat as temperatures soar to 48ºC

Mon, Jul 13, 2026(4h ago)UAE

As the week kicks off on Monday, July 13, residents across the UAE should prepare for persistent summer heat and muggy, humid nights. Forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) anticipate a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. While coastal and internal regions might see some early morning mist or fog, the primary weather story remains the sweltering heat, with peak temperatures in certain isolated areas expected to climb as high as 48ºC.

Humidity levels are set to rise significantly overnight and into Tuesday morning, potentially hitting 85 percent in parts of Abu Dhabi and central regions, while eastern and southern areas will experience slightly lower levels around 75 percent. Daytime temperatures will stay high across major hubs, with Abu Dhabi reaching 44ºC and Dubai and Sharjah seeing peaks of 40ºC and 42ºC, respectively. Even after sunset, the heat will linger, with nightly lows remaining around a warm 30ºC across these cities, accompanied by generally light to moderate winds and calm sea conditions.
