UAE Forecast: Scattered Showers and High Humidity Expected

Thu, Jul 16, 2026(4h ago)UAE

Following a mid-week spell of rain that provided a welcome break from the intense summer heat, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted more showers for parts of the UAE this Thursday, July 16. The eastern and southern regions are particularly likely to experience convective cloud formations, which may trigger light to heavy rainfall, similar to the showers recorded in Al Ain, Bateen, and Salamah just yesterday. Residents can generally expect a mix of partly cloudy to cloudy skies throughout the day, accompanied by light to moderate winds that could occasionally pick up and stir dust across open areas.

Despite the chance of rain, the sweltering heat remains a major factor, with temperatures across the country hovering between 42°C and 47°C in coastal zones, while inland areas could hit a peak of 48°C. Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi are bracing for highs of 45°C and 44°C, respectively. As humidity levels climb as high as 80% nationwide, marine conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain relatively calm, ranging from slight to moderate throughout the day.
