UAE Forecast: Rain Expected as Temperatures Soar to 43°C

Fri, Jul 17, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The UAE is set to experience a mix of sun and clouds this Friday, July 17, with meteorologists predicting convective cloud formations across southern and eastern regions that may result in localized rainfall. As the country grapples with intense heat, temperatures in major hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to climb toward a sweltering 43°C. Residents should prepare for humid conditions overnight, particularly as we head into Saturday morning, with the National Centre of Meteorology warning of potential mist or fog forming along some western coastal stretches.

Wind activity will remain generally light to moderate, originating from the southeast and northeast, though occasional gusts of up to 40km/h could stir up dust in certain areas. Marine conditions are expected to be relatively calm, though the Arabian Gulf may see periods of rough seas by the morning. This forecast follows a relatively cool start to the day on Thursday, where temperatures dipped to 23.2°C in the mountainous region of Al Heben, Fujairah, during the early hours.
