UAE National Ambulance Handles Over 73,000 Emergencies in Early 2026
The UAE’s National Ambulance service has released its operational data for the first half of 2026, showcasing a period of intense activity across the Northern Emirates. During these six months, emergency crews managed 73,624 distinct cases, with 58,781 patients receiving vital pre-hospital care. The organization’s communication hub remained exceptionally busy, fielding 168,659 calls, underscoring the vital role the service plays in maintaining public safety throughout Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. Operating 24/7 under the National Guard Command, the service deploys teams across 60 strategic locations to ensure rapid response times for traffic accidents, medical emergencies, and various trauma incidents.
The latest statistics were unveiled as Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, inaugurated the service's new state-of-the-art headquarters in Abu Dhabi. This advanced facility integrates the Ambulance Communication Centre, specialized training wings, and modern medical supply warehouses. During the event, leadership highlighted the organization’s commitment to innovation, particularly through the implementation of artificial intelligence to streamline operational efficiency. Since its establishment in 2010, the National Ambulance has evolved into a cornerstone of the country's emergency infrastructure, working in seamless coordination with police and civil defense to protect the community while providing internationally accredited training to healthcare professionals.
