UAE residents must now book Spain visa appointments directly
UAE residents looking to travel to Spain must now navigate a new, stricter appointment booking system. BLS International, the official visa service provider, has mandated that all appointments must be booked personally through their official website, effectively banning the use of travel agents or third-party intermediaries. This measure is designed to curb fraudulent activity and the unauthorized resale of appointment slots. The service provider has made it clear that any appointments secured through external agencies will be rejected at the Visa Application Centre, and the system is now equipped to verify that the applicant is indeed the one managing their own booking.
Beyond the booking process, BLS International is cautioning applicants to remain vigilant against scams involving individuals who promise to expedite visas or influence official decisions. It is important to remember that appointment booking is free of charge, and the company does not authorize payments for any special treatment or early scheduling. Additionally, the new policy dictates that appointments cannot be rescheduled; those needing a change must cancel their current slot and restart the process, keeping in mind that any paid fees are non-refundable. Applicants are also reminded to ensure their documentation, such as NOCs and travel insurance, meets the specific requirements set by the Spanish authorities to avoid any complications during their application.
