UAE Launches Prestigious Award to Celebrate National Visionaries

Sat, Aug 1, 2026(45d ago)UAE

Under the guidance of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has introduced the "Year Of Award," a new national initiative designed to honor the people and organizations that turn the country's annual themes into real-world change. By recognizing those who demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, social impact, and inspiration, this platform ensures that the spirit of every national theme leaves a lasting legacy long after the year concludes. The program is spearheaded by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reflecting the nation's commitment to fostering a culture of collective contribution.

Applications for the first edition are currently being accepted through the official website until September 10, 2026. The award is structured into five distinct categories—including the Main Award, government, private, and civil sector champions, as well as collective contributions—to ensure a wide range of efforts are highlighted. By establishing this permanent framework, which culminates in a ceremony during the UAE Government Annual Meetings, the country is creating a powerful way to celebrate the stories and initiatives that bring residents together and strengthen the fabric of UAE society.
