Ajman Taxi Fare Adjustment for August 2026

Sat, Aug 1, 2026(8h ago)UAE

Starting August 1, 2026, commuters in Ajman will face updated taxi fares set at Dh1.93 per kilometre. This adjustment follows a nationwide increase in fuel costs, as authorities in the emirate continue their practice of recalibrating taxi rates each month to align with the fluctuating local fuel market. These regular updates ensure that transport pricing remains responsive to the broader economic trends affecting the UAE's energy sector.

The latest price hike comes after a 20-fil increase across all fuel categories, reflecting the ongoing volatility in oil markets that has persisted since regional tensions began in early 2026. Under the new pricing structure, Super 98 petrol is now priced at Dh3.6 per litre, while Special 95 and E-Plus 91 are set at Dh3.49 and Dh3.41 per litre, respectively. Additionally, the cost of diesel has risen to Dh3.8 per litre, marking a steady upward trend for motorists and public transport operators alike.
