New Consul General of India Appointed for Dubai
The Consulate General of India in Dubai has officially announced the appointment of Dr. Emmadi Vishnu Vardhan Reddy as the new Consul General. A distinguished 2008-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, Dr. Reddy is set to oversee diplomatic affairs for Dubai and the Northern Emirates. He takes over the role from Satish Kumar Sivan, marking a significant transition in the leadership of the Indian mission in the region.
Dr. Reddy brings a wealth of international experience to his new position, having previously served in Indian missions in Madrid and Geneva, where he focused on both bilateral and multilateral relations. His professional background also includes diverse roles at the Ministry of External Affairs, covering regions such as Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Before this appointment, he contributed to the Telangana government as a Special Secretary for Investment Promotion and External Engagement, and served as the Regional Passport Officer in Hyderabad. This new role in Dubai will be his first diplomatic posting within the Gulf region.
