Any property owner found operating without a valid contract from an accredited service provider faces a substantial penalty of Dh5,000. This regulation, which stems from Cabinet Resolution No. (24) of 2012, applies to a wide range of commercial and residential facilities, though it notably excludes independent private homes.

Beyond elevator safety, the authority is stepping up its oversight of building regulations to ensure public well-being. Property owners have also been warned of potential Dh10,000 fines for failing to meet rigorous fire safety standards in steam boiler rooms or for installing unapproved illuminated signage on building facades. These measures align with broader efforts across the UAE to standardize safety protocols, echoing past initiatives in Dubai aimed at improving escalator safety and preventing accidents in public spaces.
