UAE Weather Forecast: Rain and Dusty Winds Expected This Friday

Thu, Aug 6, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted a mix of fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE this Friday, August 7. Residents should keep an eye out for potential rainfall, particularly in eastern and southern regions, as afternoon convective cloud formations are anticipated. These unsettled conditions are being driven by an extension of a surface low-pressure system arriving from the east, coupled with a weak upper-air low-pressure system, which is expected to influence the local climate through the end of the day.

Along with the clouds and potential showers, the country can expect light to moderate winds shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly. While these winds will generally maintain a steady pace of 10-25 km/hr, they may occasionally pick up to 40 km/hr, leading to dusty conditions in some areas. Despite the unsettled skies, marine conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight. Meanwhile, temperatures will continue to feel intense, peaking as high as 48ºC in certain regions, with major hubs like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah recording highs between 43ºC and 46ºC.
