To help owners enjoy their travels without incident, the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority has issued a timely reminder on the importance of maintaining roadworthy and fire-safe vehicles during the hottest months of the year.

To minimize these risks, the authority recommends a proactive approach to caravan maintenance. Owners should conduct regular inspections of all electrical wiring and connections to prevent short circuits. Furthermore, it is vital to keep a functional fire extinguisher within easy reach at all times. When handling gas cylinders, ensure they are stored in a designated, well-ventilated area distanced from heat sources. Finally, users should never leave cooking appliances unattended, keep flammable materials at a safe distance, and maintain at least a one-meter clearance between the caravan and any surrounding walls to ensure proper airflow and safety.
