Dubai Biker Faces Massive Fine After Reckless Stunt Video Goes Viral

Sat, Aug 8, 2026(1h ago)UAE

Dubai Police have taken swift action against a motorcyclist caught on video performing dangerous stunts and speeding at over 290 km/h on public roads. The footage, which showed the rider weaving through traffic and popping wheelies, led to the immediate impoundment of the bike. To recover their vehicle, the rider must pay a hefty Dh50,000 fine, alongside facing further legal consequences for endangering others.

Authorities have emphasized that such reckless behavior is not only illegal but life-threatening. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic, warned that at these extreme speeds, a rider has almost no chance of reacting to road hazards, making a fatal crash nearly inevitable. He stressed that motorcyclists lack the protective barriers of cars, meaning any collision at high speed can easily result in life-altering injuries or death, both for the rider and innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
