Dubai Police Cracks Down on Noisy Vehicles in Recent Enforcement Campaign
Throughout the month of October, Dubai Police intensified their efforts to address the issue of disruptive traffic, resulting in the impoundment of 218 vehicles and the issuance of 518 fines. These actions are part of a broader, ongoing initiative aimed at curbing noise pollution caused by motorists across the city. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, who serves as the Director of the General Department of Traffic, noted that authorities are leveraging both dedicated field inspection teams and advanced smart monitoring technology to identify and penalize drivers who disturb the peace.
Looking ahead, the department intends to broaden the scope of its enforcement by deploying additional smart monitoring devices throughout the emirate. Officials emphasized that this initiative is vital for protecting the well-being of the community, as loud exhausts and reckless driving habits significantly disrupt the daily lives of residents, especially children, the elderly, and those recovering from illnesses. By utilizing these new technological solutions, Dubai Police hopes to deter illegal vehicle modifications and ensure a quieter, more peaceful environment for everyone.
