UAE Authorities Dismantle Major International Drug Smuggling Ring
In a significant win for regional security, UAE law enforcement successfully intercepted a major drug smuggling operation, preventing over 30kg of illicit substances and 200,000 Captagon pills from reaching the streets. The coordinated mission, led by the National Anti-Narcotics Agency alongside Ras Al Khaimah Police and Iraqi authorities, resulted in the apprehension of 20 suspects representing a diverse range of nationalities.
The massive haul included a dangerous mix of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, hashish, marijuana, and synthetic spice. Intelligence reports suggest that the criminal syndicate intended to move the contraband through the Ras Al Khaimah border, intending to use the area as a hub for nationwide distribution. Thanks to the seamless cooperation and intelligence sharing between UAE and Iraqi officials, the entire network was identified and dismantled before they could finalize their trafficking plans.
