Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, has officially named the first recipient of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Medal. This honor, representing the highest commendation within the Dubai government, is awarded to a Director-General who has demonstrated exceptional skill in mentoring and cultivating a new generation of second-tier leaders. The official design of the medal, which underscores the importance of talent development and leadership impact, will be formally unveiled during the 2026 Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, where the inaugural winner will be publicly celebrated.

The program is designed to foster a robust culture of empowerment across government entities by standardizing how future leaders are groomed and integrated into strategic decision-making. To ensure absolute integrity, the selection process was incredibly rigorous, involving a comprehensive evaluation of 32 candidates. Over 100 in-depth interviews were conducted by a panel of 10 independent global experts, who utilized a multi-stage review process to guarantee objectivity. By highlighting these success stories, the initiative aims to provide a scalable blueprint for other organizations to follow, ensuring the long-term sustainability and readiness of the government’s leadership pipeline.
