Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Tickets Now Available for December Grand Opening

Fri, Sep 18, 2026(45m ago)UAE

Eager art enthusiasts can now secure their spots for the highly anticipated launch of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, as tickets have officially gone on sale ahead of its December 11 debut on Saadiyat Island. General admission is priced at Dh70, though the museum is offering complimentary entry for visitors under 18, UAE students, and seniors aged 60 and older, with additional discounts provided for other eligible groups. This landmark project, a partnership between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, promises to be a cornerstone of the region’s cultural landscape.

The museum itself is a marvel of modern architecture, featuring a striking design by the late Frank Gehry. Spanning 11,600 square metres, the structure includes 28 galleries and expansive outdoor terraces defined by its signature sculptural cones. Rather than presenting art through a traditional timeline, the curators intend to highlight the interconnectedness of global artistic movements. Visitors can expect an eclectic collection ranging from paintings and sculptures to cutting-edge new media and moving images, all available to explore once the doors open this winter.
