UAE records lowest temperature of 16.9°C at RAK's Merbeh Mountain
As the UAE transitions further into the autumn season, residents are finally enjoying a much-welcomed relief from the summer heat. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that temperatures have consistently begun to dip below 20°C, creating perfect conditions for outdoor activities and evening strolls across the country. This shift toward cooler, more pleasant weather aligns with expert forecasts earlier this month, which predicted a steady decline in temperatures as the region moves away from the peak heat of the summer months.
The most notable drop occurred on Monday, October 26, 2026, when the mercury plummeted to a chilly 16.9°C at Mebreh Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah during the early morning hours. This latest reading marks a significant cooling trend, following a previous low of 18.6°C recorded in Al Ain’s Raknah late last September. Looking ahead, weather authorities expect generally fair to partly cloudy skies, with the potential for convective clouds to develop in northern and eastern regions, which could bring a light dusting of rain to parts of the country.
