UAE Recalls 'Goodbye All Insects' Products Over Safety Violations

Tue, Jun 2, 2026(45d ago)UAE

The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) has issued an urgent recall for two insecticide products sold under the "Goodbye All Insects" brand, manufactured by SCITRA. The products affected are "Goodbye All Insects Max Kills in One Spray" and "Goodbye All Insects Spray." This decision follows an investigation that uncovered significant regulatory breaches, including the fact that these items were being marketed without official registration from the EDE. Furthermore, laboratory testing revealed that one of the products contained a prohibited substance, prompting immediate action to pull the inventory from shelves to mitigate potential health risks.

Beyond the presence of banned chemicals, authorities identified inconsistencies in the active ingredient concentrations, which failed to meet both local approved specifications and international safety standards. In response, the EDE is working closely with national regulatory bodies to sweep these products from both brick-and-mortar retail outlets and online platforms. Consumers who currently have these sprays at home are strongly advised to stop using them immediately and avoid any future purchase or distribution. This recall highlights the UAE's ongoing commitment to rigorous oversight of pesticides to ensure consumer safety and environmental protection.
