Israel to Resume Classes Following Brief Security Shutdown
Following a brief nationwide closure necessitated by Iranian missile strikes, Israel’s education ministry has confirmed that schools are set to reopen on June 9. Officials announced that students across the country will return to their regular in-person schedules, operating under the latest safety guidelines provided by the Home Front Command.
While the general resumption of classes marks a return to normalcy, the ministry noted that specific security protocols remain in place for areas near the Lebanese border. In these northern communities, schools will only be permitted to operate if they are conducted in close proximity to designated protected spaces, a precaution driven by the ongoing threat of potential fire from Iran-backed Hezbollah.
