Indian Air Force to Assist in Secure Delivery of NEET-UG Re-test Papers
In a significant move to ensure the integrity of the upcoming medical entrance examinations, the Indian Air Force has been tasked with transporting the NEET-UG re-test question papers. According to Ministry of Defence sources, the papers will be airlifted to 18 strategic locations across the country before being moved under tight security to their respective testing centers. This extraordinary measure follows a major paper leak scandal that compromised the original examination, prompting widespread public outrage and the subsequent arrest of 13 individuals by the Central Bureau of Investigation, including several educators tied to the National Testing Agency.
The scheduled re-test on June 21 aims to restore credibility to a process that determines the future of aspiring doctors across India. While the NTA has admitted that rescheduling causes substantial hardship for families, they maintained that the potential damage to public trust necessitated a do-over. The incident has fueled growing frustration among the youth regarding the management of national exams, giving rise to unique protest movements like the "Cockroach Janta Party," which has actively campaigned for greater accountability and the resignation of the Education Minister in response to these repeated systemic failures.
