NEET Aspirant Shocked by Sudden Exam Centre Assignment to Abu Dhabi
A NEET aspirant from Nagpur recently faced a stressful ordeal after discovering his examination centre for the upcoming re-test had been shifted to Abu Dhabi, UAE. Originally assigned to a local school in Nagpur for the May 3rd exam, the student was stunned when he downloaded his new admit card just two days before the June 21st re-examination to find an overseas location. His family confirmed that they had never requested an international centre, having strictly selected regional options like Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara.
The studentâs father, Mohammad Talib, expressed deep frustration, noting that his son does not even possess a passport and that arranging international travel on such short notice is impossible. The family immediately reached out to the National Testing Agency (NTA) helpline, which acknowledged the technical error and promised to issue a corrected admit card. While the NTA is currently focused on implementing rigorous security measuresâincluding GPS-tracked material transport and biometric monitoringâfor the re-examination of over two lakh candidates, this incident highlights the logistical hurdles still impacting students ahead of the test.
