Emergency crews are currently responding to a serious train collision that occurred on Friday approximately 60 miles north of London. Local authorities and medical teams, including an air ambulance, were dispatched to the scene south of Bedford following reports that two trains had collided on the tracks. Footage circulating online appears to show the rear of one train locked with the front of another, and officials have issued urgent pleas for the public to stay away from the area to allow rescue efforts to proceed smoothly.

In response to the crash, major rail disruptions have hit the region, with East Midlands Railway announcing a total suspension of services into and out of London for the remainder of the day.
