Aster DM Healthcare Expands Footprint in Saudi Arabia with ProCare Hospital Acquisition
Aster DM Healthcare has officially expanded its footprint into Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province by acquiring a majority stake in ProCare Hospital, forming a strategic joint venture with Abdulrahman Saleh Al Rajhi and Partners Co Group. Rebranded as Aster ProCare Hospital, this facility will integrate into the company's broader GCC network, bringing its signature patient-centric healthcare model to a new region. This move marks a significant step in Aster’s long-standing commitment to the Kingdom, directly supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by upgrading medical infrastructure and fostering a more resilient healthcare ecosystem.
The acquisition triggers a major transformation for the hospital, which will see its capacity grow from 100 to 209 beds. Beyond physical expansion, Aster plans to overhaul the facility with state-of-the-art technology, including a new AI-enabled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, seven advanced operating theaters, and a specialized 60-bed critical care unit. By implementing global clinical governance standards and introducing digital solutions like the myAster platform, the group aims to improve clinical outcomes and ensure seamless access to care. This partnership combines ProCare’s established local reputation with Aster’s extensive experience, ultimately providing the Eastern Province with world-class, specialized medical services.
