UAE residents embrace digital convenience for Eid Al Adha sacrifices
As Eid Al Adha approaches, residents across the UAE are turning to digital platforms to streamline the traditional Qurbani process. Noon has partnered with the online butcher shop Zabehaty to offer a variety of livestock, including camels, cows, and several breeds of sheep, with prices beginning at Dh1,050. To maintain quality and logistical efficiency, the company has set a firm order deadline of May 23, cautioning that availability is limited and subject to stock levels.
Meanwhile, other delivery giants like Careem are also facilitating the ritual by offering home delivery of slaughtered livestock. Their diverse catalog features options ranging from local and Cashmere goats to Najdi sheep and cows, with prices varying based on the animal and weight. While these private services provide convenience, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has also established official Qurbani rates for the season, typically ranging between Dh350 and Dh800, as the community prepares for the upcoming holiday expected on May 27.
