Grand Theft Auto VI Pre-orders Kick Off Next Week

Fri, Jun 19, 2026(45d ago)Business

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that pre-orders for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI will go live on June 25. Following a series of delays, the latest installment in the iconic open-world franchise is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 19. Alongside the announcement, which was shared on X, the developer unveiled the game’s official cover art. While official pricing has yet to be finalized, industry experts and comments from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick suggest a base price of around $80, though some market speculation has hinted it could reach even higher.

The upcoming title marks a significant evolution for the series, as it will be the first entry in over a decade to follow the legendary success of GTA V. Players will return to a modernized version of the neon-soaked Vice City, stepping into the roles of a criminal duo, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. This release also breaks new ground by introducing a playable female protagonist, a first for the main series. Despite the developer facing challenges throughout production—including a major 2022 data breach and internal labor disputes—excitement remains at an all-time high as fans eagerly wait to see if the title can match the historic commercial performance of its predecessor.
