Emirates Skywards Members Can Now Spend Miles on European Train Travel

Tue, Jul 28, 2026(3h ago)Business

Emirates Skywards has officially expanded its loyalty program beyond the clouds, introducing a new "Skywards Rail" feature that allows members to redeem their Miles for train travel across Europe. Travelers can now book tickets to over 12,000 destinations, choosing from more than 40 rail operators, including major services like Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, and Trenitalia. Whether you are looking to book a high-speed domestic trip or an international connection, the platform offers the flexibility to pay entirely with Miles or through a combination of Cash + Miles.

The booking process is designed for convenience, allowing members to search schedules and select travel classes directly through the Emirates website or mobile app in five different languages. Furthermore, Miles can be used to book tickets for friends and family, with digital tickets delivered straight to an email inbox. Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice-President of Emirates Skywards, emphasized that this move is part of a broader strategy to provide members with more versatile redemption options, whether they are connecting from an Emirates or flydubai flight or simply exploring European cities by rail.
