British Airways Extends Middle East Flight Suspensions Until August
British Airways has officially extended the suspension of its flights to Dubai, Doha, and Tel Aviv, with services now expected to remain grounded until at least August 1. This decision reflects the ongoing instability in the region, which has prompted numerous international airlines to adjust their schedules since the conflict escalated earlier this year. A spokesperson for the airline confirmed the delay, noting that the move is intended to provide passengers with more certainty while the carrier closely monitors the evolving security landscape.
As part of a broader strategic shift, the IAG-owned airline has also announced plans to permanently discontinue its route to Jeddah. When operations eventually resume across the Middle East, the company intends to scale back its presence, limiting service to the region to just one daily flight for Dubai, Doha, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv. The airline is currently reaching out to all impacted travelers to provide alternative travel arrangements or refund options as they navigate these necessary schedule adjustments.
