Riyadh Air's Expansion: Connecting Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and the Philippines

Mon, Aug 3, 2026(45d ago)Business

Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning national carrier, Riyadh Air, has officially opened bookings for its latest international routes, marking a significant step in its expansion into the Asian market. The airline is set to begin flights to Islamabad on August 14, followed by Lahore on August 18, and Manila on September 9, 2026. These new services are a key component of the kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative, aimed at bolstering global connectivity and strengthening economic and cultural partnerships between Saudi Arabia and these key nations.

The new flight schedules are tailored to meet the needs of diverse travelers, including the large expatriate populations residing in the kingdom, as well as business and leisure tourists. To service these routes, Riyadh Air will deploy its state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which offer a range of premium cabin experiences from Business Elite to Economy. By providing consistent weekly service to Islamabad and Lahore, alongside daily flights to Manila, the airline intends to serve as a vital link for travelers looking to connect through Riyadh to the broader Middle Eastern and European regions.
