Kuwait Recalls Popular Land Rover Models Over Airbag Concerns
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued an official recall for several Land Rover models due to a potential safety defect involving their airbag systems. The affected vehicles include the Range Rover (2022-2027), the Defender (2020-2027), and the Discovery (2021-2027). According to the ministry, the flaw stems from a connector within the airbag assembly that is prone to corrosion over time, which could compromise the system's reliability.
To address the issue, officials are urging owners of these specific vehicles to contact the local dealer, Ali Mohammad Thunayan Alghanim & Sons Automotive Co., at 1846464 to schedule an inspection. The manufacturer will provide the necessary repairs or corrective measures completely free of charge. Owners are encouraged to book their appointments in advance to ensure the work is completed in accordance with official safety protocols.
