Starting October 1, 2026, flydubai is set to significantly expand its logistics footprint by launching dedicated freighter operations. By utilizing three Boeing 737-800 freighters sourced through a wet-lease agreement with SolitAir, the airline aims to bolster Dubai’s standing as a premier global trade hub. Each of these aircraft will add a 23,000 kg payload capacity, working in tandem with the carrier’s existing passenger fleet. Furthermore, the airline is already looking toward future growth, with plans to integrate 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners into its operations and potential passenger-to-freighter conversions slated for 2029.

Operating out of Dubai World Central (DWC), the new cargo division will serve over 125 destinations across regions including Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. This strategic hub placement allows for seamless multimodal access, enabling the airline to transport specialized goods such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, and aerospace components. By providing guaranteed main-deck capacity and flexible scheduling, flydubai intends to meet the evolving demands of its commercial partners, ultimately strengthening regional connectivity and supporting the long-term goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
