Flydubai Poised to Exceed Pre-Conflict Capacity by Late 2026
Flydubai is on track to fully restore its network capacity to pre-conflict levels—and likely surpass them—by the end of 2026. CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith emphasized that the carrier remains firmly on its original growth trajectory, fueled by steady aircraft deliveries and robust demand across its 130-plus destinations. Despite regional instability, the airline has continued to expand, launching new routes and increasing frequencies to key hubs like Bangkok and Benghazi. Al Ghaith expressed confidence in the market’s resilience, noting that the company is prepared for a strong surge in travel as global conditions stabilize.
Looking ahead, the airline is diversifying its operations by launching a new cargo division in October, which is designed to bolster its synergy with Emirates and enhance the broader Dubai aviation ecosystem. While global travel advisories continue to create some headwinds for full recovery, particularly in Eastern European markets, Flydubai is pushing forward with its fleet renewal strategy, including the arrival of 11 new Boeing 737s by year-end. Additionally, the carrier is actively preparing for its eventual expansion into Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), ensuring it remains positioned for long-term growth as a dual-hub operator in Dubai.
