UAE Businesses Face Urgent Deadline for E-Invoicing Compliance
Large-scale UAE businesses generating over Dh50 million in annual revenue are scrambling to secure an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) before the October 30 deadline. Under Cabinet Decision No. 106 of 2025, failing to register with an FTA-approved provider carries a stiff penalty of Dh5,000 for every month or part of a month that a company remains non-compliant. Experts are warning businesses that this initial registration is merely the first hurdle; companies must also focus on the complex technical integration required before the full system go-live date of January 1, 2027.
The rush to meet this cutoff has experts cautioning against viewing e-invoicing as a simple administrative formality. Financial consultants emphasize that companies need to prepare for system testing, ERP mapping, and staff training to prevent operational disruptions or delayed payments later on. With authorities maintaining a firm stance on deadlines, businesses are urged to prioritize selecting a provider immediately rather than hoping for extensions. While firms with lower revenues have until March 2027 to comply, larger entities must ensure their internal data and financial processes are fully aligned to avoid ongoing penalties and long-term inefficiencies.
