Dubai Malls Transform Into Indoor Fitness Hubs for Second Annual Mallathon
Starting June 15, residents and visitors in Dubai can beat the summer heat by turning six of the city’s major shopping centers into indoor fitness arenas. Launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the second edition of the Dubai Mallathon offers a climate-controlled environment for walking and running from 6am to 10am daily. Running through September 15, the initiative includes Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Mirdif City Centre, Dubai Festival City Mall, Deira City Centre, and Dubai Hills Mall, providing a safe and accessible space for people of all fitness levels to stay active during the warmer months.
This community-focused event is entirely free and requires no advance registration; participants simply collect a wristband upon arrival to gain access to tracks, fitness coaching, and exclusive discounts at participating outlets. Beyond individual fitness, the Mallathon features specialized programming for women, senior citizens, and People of Determination, alongside weekend races with various incentives. By aligning with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, the initiative serves as a core effort to integrate health into daily life, fostering community bonds and encouraging a culture of wellness that brings families and residents together in a shared pursuit of a balanced, active lifestyle.
