UAE Stands with Qatar Following Tragic Ras Laffan Industrial Explosion

The United Arab Emirates has officially voiced its solidarity with Qatar in the aftermath of a devastating industrial explosion at an LNG facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City. In an official statement, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its deepest sympathies to the Qatari government and its citizens, offering well-wishes for the recovery of those harmed. Bahrain also joined in the support, expressing its confidence that Qatari authorities will effectively manage the fallout of this tragedy and prioritize the safety of all residents.

QatarEnergy has confirmed the heartbreaking toll of the accident, which resulted in 13 fatalities and 66 injuries. The victims included nationals from various countries, with the Indian Embassy identifying 12 of the deceased as Indian citizens, alongside one Pakistani national. Minister of Energy Saad Al Kaabi noted that the blast took place as the facility was resuming operations after a period of suspension. While the situation remains critical, Qatari officials have assured international embassies that all surviving victims are currently receiving medical attention and are in stable condition.
