UAE Weather Alert: Potential Rainfall and Fog Expected Amid Summer Heat

Wed, Jun 24, 2026(2h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted a shift in weather for the UAE this Wednesday, June 24, as residents may experience a brief respite from the sweltering summer temperatures. While the day will largely be defined by fair to partly cloudy skies, convective clouds are expected to develop, potentially triggering rainfall in eastern regions and stretching toward some internal areas by the afternoon.

Despite the prospect of rain, the country remains firmly in the grip of intense heat, with mercury levels forecasted to hit as high as 47ÂșC in certain locations. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are bracing for highs of 45ÂșC and 44ÂșC, respectively. Meanwhile, authorities have raised red and yellow fog alerts, particularly for the western regions, urging drivers to exercise extreme caution on the roads due to significantly reduced visibility. The night and early morning hours are also expected to bring humidity and potential mist to coastal areas, accompanied by winds that could occasionally gust up to 45kmph.
