Two UAE Schools Named to Prestigious World’s Best School Prizes Shortlist
Two educational institutions in the UAE have earned a spot on the Top 10 global shortlist for the prestigious World’s Best School Prizes 2026. Often referred to as the "World Cup for Schools," this international recognition highlights institutions that go beyond traditional academics to tackle pressing real-world issues. By focusing on student wellbeing and community integration, these schools have demonstrated a forward-thinking approach that serves as a model for educators across the globe.
The Applied Technology School (ATS) in Sharjah received its nomination in the "Supporting Healthy Lives" category, largely due to a student-led project involving an intelligent food dispensing system designed to manage allergies and improve nutritional habits. Meanwhile, Nord Anglia International School Dubai was shortlisted for "Community Collaboration" for its exceptional work in fostering inclusion and a sense of belonging within the city's diverse population. These achievements, which T4 Education founder Vikas Pota praised as evidence of the UAE's world-class educational standards, reflect a commitment to preparing students for a rapidly changing and uncertain future. The final winners will be announced this November, with all shortlisted schools invited to present their innovative practices at the World Schools Summit in London early next year.
