UAE Offers Visa-on-Arrival Access for Eligible Filipino Travelers

Thu, Jun 25, 2026(1h ago)UAE

Starting June 25, Filipinos holding Philippine passports can now enjoy the convenience of visa-on-arrival access in the UAE, provided they hold a valid residence permit, visa, or Green Card from select countries. This new policy, confirmed by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, highlights the strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations. Eligible countries that grant these qualifying documents include the United States, Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Canada, New Zealand, and member states of the European Union.

Travelers looking to take advantage of this opportunity can choose between two options upon arrival at any UAE airport. A 14-day visa is available for Dh100, which can be extended for another two weeks for an additional Dh250. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a non-extendable 60-day visa priced at Dh250. To secure entry, passengers simply need to present their valid Philippine passport alongside their qualifying permit from the specified nations. This move is expected to further facilitate travel for the nearly one million Filipinos currently residing in the UAE, who make up significant communities across major cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
