UAE Expands Visa-on-Arrival Access to Six More Nations
The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has officially updated its entry requirements, making it easier for citizens from six additional countries to visit. Nationals from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa are now eligible for the UAE’s 14-day and 60-day visa-on-arrival programs. This initiative complements the existing rules for Indian passport holders, provided they meet specific criteria, such as holding a valid residence permit from the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, or South Korea.
Travelers can choose between a 14-day visa, which is extendable once, or a single-entry 60-day visa, priced at Dh100 and Dh250 respectively. It is crucial for visitors to adhere to their stay duration, as overstaying will result in a daily penalty of Dh50. By relaxing these entry barriers, the UAE aims to strengthen its international ties, boost tourism, and solidify its reputation as a premier global hub for culture and professional talent.
