Indian passport service fees in UAE to increase from July 1

Thu, Jun 25, 2026(21h ago)UAE

Starting July 1, Indian citizens living in the UAE will face higher costs for passport and consular services. The Indian Consulate in Dubai has confirmed that the fee hike, mandated by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, will be applied across its missions in the Emirates. While the specific price breakdown in dirhams has not yet been finalized, officials have promised that the updated fee structure and application guidelines will be released in the coming weeks.

This marks the first adjustment to these service fees since 2012, affecting everything from fresh passport applications and reissues to Tatkaal services and police clearance certificates. Notably, the new policy introduces a 10 percent discount for children under eight and senior citizens over 60, though this reduction is limited strictly to new passport applications. As these changes roll out, the administration of these services in the UAE will also transition to a new provider, Al Hind Tours and Travels LLC, marking a significant shift in how Indian nationals process their travel documents abroad.
