UAE Takes Strict Action Against Domestic Recruitment Agencies Over Violations

Mon, Jul 27, 2026(45d ago)UAE

The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) recently revealed that it has penalized 42 domestic worker recruitment agencies during the first half of 2026. Over the course of these six months, authorities issued 135 separate fines to address a variety of legal and administrative infractions. This crackdown underscores the government's firm stance on maintaining order and accountability within the sector.

These enforcement measures are a core component of the ministry's broader initiative to regulate the domestic labor market effectively. By keeping a close watch on these recruitment offices, MoHRE aims to uphold the UAE Labour Law, ensuring that the rights of both employers and domestic workers are fully protected. Through these ongoing campaigns, the ministry continues to push for higher standards of compliance and professional conduct across the industry.
