UAE National Ambulance Handles Over 260,000 Emergency Calls in 2026
The UAE’s National Ambulance service has released data showing a high volume of activity throughout the first nine months of 2026, with the agency logging 260,423 calls. Operating under the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence, the teams have been instrumental in the country’s emergency response efforts, directly assisting 87,179 patients across 108,315 emergency incidents. These figures highlight the relentless pace at which the service operates to ensure community safety and timely medical intervention.
To further bolster these life-saving capabilities, the UAE government recently announced plans to implement a unified command-and-control system for the health emergency sector within the next two years. Championed by the leadership, this initiative aims to integrate health systems nationwide to create a more cohesive and proactive response network. By shifting the focus toward preventative care and streamlining emergency coordination, the UAE continues to modernize its infrastructure to better protect its residents and citizens.
