Dubai Al Yalayis Etihad Rail Station Nears Completion Ahead of September Launch
The Dubai Al Yalayis Etihad Rail station is rapidly transforming, with its primary exterior structure, glass facade, and official branding now fully visible to the public. While the site remains cordoned off by construction barriers and safety fencing, progress is moving quickly, as crews work around the clock on landscaping, pavement installation, and final ground-level detailing. A prominent highlight of the site is the massive steel pedestrian bridge, spanning over 300 meters, which is currently being finalized to provide a seamless connection between the new rail hub and the nearby Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station.
Once operational on September 30, this station will serve as a vital link in the UAE’s expanding rail network, allowing commuters to transfer directly between the Etihad Rail system and the Dubai Metro using their Nol cards. This integration effectively bridges the gap between the two transport systems, removing the need for taxis or additional road travel between transit hubs. By the time it opens, the station will stand as a key node in a 900km national network connecting 11 cities and regions, marking a significant milestone in the country's vision for a highly interconnected, efficient public transportation system.
