UAE Weather Update: Rain Forecast Amidst Sweltering Heat

Sat, Aug 8, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted a shift in weather patterns for the UAE this Saturday, August 8. While the day will largely be fair to partly cloudy, residents should prepare for the development of convective clouds, particularly across eastern and southern regions. These clouds are expected to drift toward inland areas, bringing a welcome, albeit brief, chance of rain.

Despite the prospect of scattered showers, the UAE continues to experience peak summer intensity, with temperatures climbing as high as 49°C in certain locations. Urban centers will remain hot, with Dubai reaching 45°C and Abu Dhabi hitting 46°C. Residents are also advised to exercise caution due to fluctuating wind conditions; while generally light to moderate, gusts could reach speeds of up to 50kmph, potentially stirring up dust, especially near areas experiencing cloud activity. Meanwhile, conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain relatively calm.
